Welcome to Great Brixton.

World famous, sometimes infamous. This book is the collective story of one of the most vibrant communities in the UK.

We invited the people of Brixton to share images of what makes it great, with the simple aim of preserving its unique diversity in print. We thank everyone for their generous contributions.

From headline events to the rituals of daily life, these are images captured by those who lived these moments. 
This book is dedicated not only to the image-makers, but to everyone of Brixton past and present who fill these photographs with life.
